The new machine is equipped with an HHS glue gun, in-line carton inspection system, braille embossing and ejection system. This is the second BOBST folder-gluer to be installed in its Sonipat plant. The EXPERTFOLD 110 A2 is the most versatile and efficient folding carton folder-gluer in its line, enabling the production of an impressive number of box styles in a wide range of materials. Highly efficient, the folder-gluer can produce cartons at speeds of up to 450 meters per minute, with very short set-up and change times for maximum uptime. Allowing other in-line processes to be carried out simultaneously, the BOBST EXPERTFOLD 110 A2 is equipped with two additional modules for braille embossing and quality control. ACCUCHECK’s quality control solution inspects each carton, filters and automatically ejects defective cartons, ensuring 100% controlled production. Boxes that do not meet quality control specifications are ejected by the ACCUEJECT device. ACCUBRAILLE guarantees high quality dot embossing, which ensures compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations.
The folder-gluer is also equipped with all the functions to process corrugated cardboard with three plies (E, F and N flutes). Sachin Gupta, Managing Director of Sain Packaging, said: âWe installed our first BOBST VISIONFOLD in 2015 and are satisfied with its performance. Thus, BOBST has become a natural choice while looking for another machine. The BOBST EXPERTFOLD 110 A2 is an advanced machine, equipped with a Baumer HHS glue gun. The box inspection and ejection system offers a speed of 450 m / hour. As most of our customers are from the pharmaceutical segment, we needed this option. Gupta started the pharmaceutical packaging company in 2004 at the suggestion of a family friend, with a monochrome offset press in Burari, Delhi. Gradually, Sain Packaging has grown and now converts 400 to 450 tonnes of packaging cartons per month in a 65,000 square foot production area. The total area of ââthe plant is 2,025 m². âWe can even produce 100 offset cartons. And on the top side, there is no limit,â Gupta added.
He said the BOBST kit gives a packaging printer a competitive edge in the market. âAs far as pharmaceutical packaging is concerned, it is developing well with the demand for quality print production. Today’s print buyers want quality signs as well as embellishment and print security features. They want UV coating instead of lamination, âhe explained. “Braille is also in demand at the moment and we plan to invest in this direction.” Sain also set up a semi-automatic three-ply corrugated plant to manufacture flute sizes B, C and E. âWe have transformed our small manual corrugated plant into an automatic plant and are converting about 300 tons of kraft per month. Our corrugated board facility includes fingerless corrugated board machine, two-color slit printer, automatic sewing machine and folder-gluer. A team of 45 people are leading the corrugated cardboard operation, “he said. Gupta is optimistic about the future as the company continues to grow. Last year, the company’s turnover business was Rs 45 crore.
âOur investment in the future will be focused on the fluidity of processes and operations, at least for a year. Our printing is fast and advanced and we synchronize other departments. Next year we are trying to hit Rs 100 crore business, âGupta mentioned. “We process approximately 800 tonnes (approximately 500 tonnes of duplex cardboard and approximately 300 tonnes of kraft paper) in our 24-hour operations.” Sanchit Gupta, manager and second generation of the family business, added: âWe have purchased 2.5 acres of land in a nearby location for future expansion. We can invest in more land because as you grow the space becomes one We also hope to branch out from pharma to other markets in the future.
